Latest publications

A new Supplementary Papers has been completed updating the guideline on supports for autistic students in tertiary education. This paper is currently awaiting sign-off processes.

Also in press is the 3rd edition of the Guideline, renamed Aotearoa New Zealand Autism Guideline: He Waka Huia Takiwātanga Rau. Marita Broadstock conducted the substantial 
revisions relating to language reflecting perspectives around neurodiviersity, and te ao Māori, as well as introducing updates from 5 completed Supplementary Papers.

The 14th update topic for the Guideline will be on parent-mediated supportive approaches and is expected to go out to consultation in early 2023.

Keeping it real: Updating the ASD Guideline

INSIGHT Research Director, Marita Broadstock, wrote an article for New Zealand's Altogether Autism Journal (Issue 2, 2018) that summarises the living guideline process, and answers FAQ about the work.
